We lost the cricket

Well, Tanner and I went to the cricket. we got there about 30 mins late due to a late plane and rental car hold up. I wasn't expexting to be able to get a great seat but there where only about 25 thousand people there ( the MCG hold 95 thousand) so we got to sit anywere we liked. the weather was perfect, just over 30 deg with a breeze blowing. the game was a bit slow but entertaining all the same. We lost to New Zealand. Oh the Shame, that makes to games in a row.

Saturday morning was never going to be plesant with the temp expecting to top 40 deg. the day was nearly unbearable ( apart from the fact that Tanner and I spent the middle of the day at Peter and Maxines house in the pool). By the time we got back to the airport it was 47deg. Thats right 47 deg (116.6 deg f ), it was bloody hot. I recon i could have cracked an egg onto the roof of the car and watched it fry. when you get out of the car into it, its like getting hit in the face.
So glad to be home to our cooler weather.

Youth Activity

On saturday the YM & YW went on a raft ride down the Huon River. They couldn't have picked a better day for the activity. We had just had a week of 35 - 40 degree weather(95-104 for you Americans). The kids rode inner tubes, air mattress, Rubber boats and canoes. they also spent a fair bit of time swimming. It took them about 1 1/2 hours to float, most of the time paddling, down the 5 klm's from Judbury to Glen Huon.

Sheldi was towards the end of the kids to arrive because she spent so much time swimming and playing around in the water(not unusual for her when in the water).

Australia Day

January 26 is an important day for us. I always wondered what it meant and never had a problem will it.

It was 9.30 when we got started at first we did nothing(and that was what the kids did) i went on the motor bike and screamed the National Anthem. So funny then we had the BBQ it was really good to see my 10 cousins(i with could have played cricket) then i got on the motor bike again and stayed on it for 15-20min.

When Jaclyn was leaving, i raced them to the end of the drive way and then across the field. that was cool i was thinking of putting the Australian cape on but it was to long.

And that was Australia Day.
